Problems to download manifest file with http compressed

Hi Guys!

I'm big problem.

I developed project with silverlight and smooth streaming but it doesn't download the manifest file with http compress (gzip).

My videos are very big, with manifest file up to 15MB.

My IIS is configured using dynamic and static compression files and I checked with if the mime types be ok, but when I'm testing with this player ->, I don't have problems and its download manifest file with gzip sending "Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate" header.

When I use SMF 2.2012.605.0 (last version), all requests are sending with header "Accept-Encoding: identity". I know this header doesn't request with http compression.

I'm using Microsoft Smooth Streaming Client 2.5. I tested with Microsoft Smooth Streaming Client 2.0 too.

Looking for the problem on google, I know that Microsoft Smooth Streaming Client supports http compression since 1.5 version.

I don't know what I'm missing.

Tks for attention.

why do you have such big manifest? are there metadata in it?

also I think you can force gzip compression from the server side somehow by specifying it maybe in a web.config that is placed in the parent folder where the smooth streams are
