Configuration Error

Dec 20, 2011 at 6:32 PM

I'm developing on mac, so I'm building a MMPPF player using visual studio on top of a vm. I'm following the first example on the how to page and got an error as below. I googled online and found out that you need to grant full access to the configuration file "web.config", however, in my case, the project is set up in mac file system instead of windows local disk. On the properties, I cannot find a "security" tab. I did "chmod 644"  to the player and player application directory as well as all the files under the directories, so everyone should have read access to these files, but the problem is still there.

Can someone help? Thank you very much.

First of all, that error is not really SMF related, but relates to your ASP.NET website for testing.

Secondly, hosting your .NET projects on the mac filesystem part of the filesystem, is error prone and problematic. I have the same setup myself, but i have come to the conclusion that you are in for much fewer headaches if you just host the project on the windows part of the filesystem.
