Hi all,

I'm trying to run my smfplayer using LiveSmoothStreaming:

but the following error occurs on the LoggingConsole:

Failed to download manifest: d Severity: "Error" Sender: "SmoothStreamingMediaPlugin" Type: "SmoothStreamingErrorOccurred" Message: "Failed to download manifest: d"

I put the files crossdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicy.xml in the folder wwwroot (my isml is default web site) and in the firebug(firefox) the files are loaded correctly.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "">
  <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*"/>

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
            <allow-from http-request-headers="*">
                <domain uri="*"/>
                <resource path="/" include-subpaths="true"/>

I'm running my app in http://localhost:55284/PlayerProjectTestPage.aspx

I can access the Manifest by the browser.

Can anyone help me?

Sorry for my poor english. Thanks

Hello Tim,

I tried the steps several times but keep getting the error:

Failed to download manifest: d Severity: "Error" Sender: "SmoothStreamingMediaPlugin" Type: "SmoothStreamingErrorOccurred" Message: "Failed to download manifest: d"

I tested with other videos and the player works without problems.

It could be a problem with the video encoder?

Hi all,

I managed to work using older dlls.

Microsoft.SilverlightMediaFramework.Core - 2.2010.1001.1 - v2.0.50727
Microsoft.Web.Media.SmoothStreaming - 1.0.837.34 - v2.0.50727

I try run the video in "smoothstreamingplayer-2.2011.0410.1" and do not work.

Can anyone help me?

I solved the problem!

I was using firefox to run the player, but the manifest was requested by the IE proxy settings, where the address was blocked, I'm disable the proxy for the url (isml) and it worked.

Thanks for all..

Sorry for my poor english.
