CaptionsPresenterElement Style

May 4, 2011 at 9:30 PM

I've been playing around with this for a while, searching the docs, forums, etc. and haven't found anything useful.

I need to increase the area the captions presenter is allowed to use - I have some multi-line captions. The problem is that as the text size is slightly increased, the caption area always seems to get the exact same amount of space, cropping the text. I've tried adjusting the grid, etc., but no luck. Tried to pass some style info, etc.

This is what I've got:

<style xml:id="backgroundStyle"
             stl:fontFamily="Segoe UI"
             stl:fontSize="15px"
             stl:textAlign="left"
             stl:origin="1% 86%"
             stl:extent="99% 10%"/>

Any way to work with it from here? Height, width, etc.?

If not, where can I adjust the caption presenter size?

Thanks,

Jeff

I took the samplecaptions.xml from the Samples project (download the sources zip) and tried the style below. I think that does what you want. The second parameter in the extent value is the hight of the box (default 10%).

<style xml:id="backgroundStyle"
          p5:fontFamily="proportionalSegoeUI"
          p5:fontSize="15px"
          p5:textAlign="left"
          p5:origin="1% 80%"
          p5:extent="98% 15%"
          p5:backgroundColor="rgba(0,0,0,100)"
          p5:displayAlign="center"
          xmlns:p5="http://www.w3.org/2006/10/ttaf1#styling" />
