SMFPlayer on wp7 hide controlstrip

Dec 22, 2010 at 3:26 PM

Hi All

I'm trying to create a custom control strip commands for a wp7 application (with a SMFPlayer instance) . I just want to know how hide (or remove) the default controlstrip.

I tried to put IsControlStripVisible="False" in the xaml file, I also forced it in the xaml.cs file but it doesn't work.

I'm not able to find any useful information neither in the documentation nor in the web.

Is there anyone else that has already solved this?

thanks in advance.

bye

Any update on this?  I just ran into the issue myself.

It seems that calling Play() turns the control strip back on, after which it never goes away. This is a workaround that seems to solve the problem:

video.Play();

Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(delegate()
{
  video.IsControlStripVisible = false;
});

The BeginInvoke is required since the Play doesn't happen right away.

video.Play();

Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(delegate()
{
video.IsControlStripVisible = false;
});

The BeginInvoke is required since the Play doesn't happen right away.

Actually, tapping the screen acts as a toggle for the control strip. But it seems that going away on its own would be better default behavior.
