Hi All,

Issue : When Silverlight application using SMF is published to IIS the encoded Video does not display

 Steps to replicate the issue,

1) Encode a video using Expression Encoder.

2) Deploy the encoded video on IIS.

3) Create a simple Silverlight application using SMF(Silverlight Media Framework)

4) Set the path with the following code SmoothStreamingSource=http://YourServer/SMF/Wildlife.ism/manifest

 5) Run it in Visual Studio 2010 the encoded video runs fine.

 6) Publish the Silverlight application to IIS and browse the application the Video does not display. No error shown.

7) WebDevHelper does not show any Request to the Streaming source.

Please let me know if anyone has solution on this. Thanks in advance

Do you have a stream published somewhere I could hit to test this?

Thanks for the reply. I am behind a firewall and you will not be able to acess the URL published. Now the issue has been resolved when i assign the SmoothStreamingSource in codebehind not sure why it hangs if assigned in XAML.

This issue was for SMF v1.1 now I am trying the same with SMFv2 (RC1) the video is not even getting displayed in VisualStudio. I downloaded the help file(.chm) and its of no use it only shows help Topics on the left on clicking does not show anything.

Internet Explorer has blocked your .CHM files.  Right-Click, select Properties, then click "Unblock"

Here is a good starting point for SMF v2: http://smf.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=SMF%20v2%20Getting%20Started%20Guide
