SMF v2 choosing start position

Jun 17, 2010 at 10:06 AM

I have been trying to get an adaptive streaming video to play from a position in the video ie 5 mins in.

I have tried:  myPlayer.SeekToPosition(new TimeSpan(0, 0, 5, 0)); in both the player loaded event and i think every other combination.

All help would be appreciate

The best way to solve your problem always seems to be post a question on a forum, the solution to this problem in case anyone wants to know is simply put: myPlay.SeekToPosition(300); within the media opened event and it works. Love this framework.

"another way to do this is set PlaylistItem.StartPosition"

Where is this value set? Ideally it would be set as a property on the mediaElement before it is sent to the player. If that is the case though, how do you set a timespan from javascript?
